The Value-Based Return on Creating a High-Quality Data Pipeline
September 12th, 2018 1:00pm ET
Payer and provider success with value-based care depends on accurate data, analytics, and reporting to deliver the right information at the right time to the right recipient.
However, the lack of standardization across payers is further complicated by a lack of standardization across EHR vendor systems and quality measures for the healthcare industry overall.
Data collected and stored for analysis is often incomplete or imprecise, leading to questionable results that do not support actionable decision-making.
To overcome these challenges and construct a trustworthy, accessible data pipeline, healthcare organizations need to reexamine their analytics processes from the ground up – including taking a closer look at how innovative data warehousing strategies can support value-based care delivery.
In this session, Bill Gillis, Chief Information Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO), will share how data quality improvements and flexible, scalable data warehousing infrastructure can help organizations meet the increasingly complex requirements of a value-based environment.
Attendees will learn:
Why data quality and data integration are key to delivering meaningful, actionable results to end-users
How to develop data aggregation, warehousing, and analytics strategies that offer visibility into healthcare cost and quality
How BIDCO leverages its data analytics skills to thrive in a value-based reimbursement environment
