Webcast: Data for Good: The Case for Operationalizing Social Determinants of Health into Clinical Models
April 29th, 2020 at 1:00 PM ET
In a 2018 survey of healthcare CIOs conducted by LexisNexis Risk Solutions – Health Care, more than 50 percent were not yet using any type of social determinants of health (SDOH) data. Fast forward three years, SDOH is widely recognized as a valuable data set in predictive analytics and care management. In fact, in our 2020 CIO survey, nearly 90 percent of CIOs reported using some of kind of SDOH data in their organizations. The value the data holds is invaluable from medication adherence to preventing readmissions to continuity of care. It is a critical data set for both the future of the payer/provider healthcare ecosystem, and also in how healthcare organizations engage patients. But, questions remain: how do you justify or make the case to use SDOH data if it’s never been used before? How do you begin to integrate data sets into clinical models and care? What are the positive benefits for both patient engagement and patient outcomes? We’ll answer all of those questions and more in this informative webcast. You’ll learn why clinically-validated data can be more valuable than patient reported surveys or EHR data and where to start in utilizing SDOH for optimal patient care.
